Silent Corners

When strolling through the streets of Berlin in the evening hours and sometimes late at night i often feel drawn to the small seemingly isolated areas illuminated only by a weak light of a lantern just around the corner. With the city developing faster than one can realise and more and more beloved, famous and infamous urban areas being turned into yet another office space or corporate cube these silent corners in between are in danger of being lost to change too. As relics and reflections of different eras of a city that has seen change like only few others over the past 100 years and as transit areas that connect our lives without being acknowledged all that much, these places deserve to be preserved, if only in photographs.
